Why body-oil stains keep coming back

Sebum is a wax + fatty-acid mix produced by the sebaceous glands. It bonds with cellulose fibres on contact and polymerises every time the garment is tumble-dried, locking the residue deeper. Standard detergents emulsify free oils but don't break polymerised sebum — only a lipase active enzyme will.

How to use Luniva on body oils & sebum

  1. Step 1 — Spray directly: Apply Luniva to the stain until saturated. No rubbing, no pre-soak.
  2. Step 2 — Wait 1–3 minutes: Active Enzymes break the stain down at the molecular level. Don't let it dry.
  3. Step 3 — Wash at 40°C: Machine-wash as normal. Air dry; never tumble dry until you've confirmed the stain is gone.

What counts as a body-oil stain?

Sebum, skin oils, sweat residue, deodorant build-up, suncream, fake tan and night-time face oil. Anything lipid-based that transfers from skin to fabric.

Will Luniva remove yellow sebum stains from white pillowcases?

Yes. Spray, leave for 5–10 minutes, then wash bedding at 60°C. Repeat for set-in yellowing and air-dry in sunlight for the final lift.

Is it safe on dark gym kit and technical fabrics?

Yes — colour-safe and fibre-safe on polyester, elastane and cotton blends. Active Enzymes target the lipid, not the dye.

Why do my collars and cuffs go yellow even after washing?

Standard detergent doesn't fully break down polymerised sebum. The residue oxidises in the dryer and yellows. Pre-treat with Luniva to break the lipid bond before washing.

Does it work on suncream and fake-tan marks?

Yes. Suncream and self-tan leave a body-oil residue Luniva targets directly. Spray, wait 1–3 minutes, wash. Stubborn DHA orange marks may need two passes.
