Keeping chef whites white
Treat stains every day rather than letting them pile up, and don't leave dirty whites in a bag overnight. Wash whites only with whites, and don't overload the machine. Never use chlorine bleach on curry or turmeric: it can turn the stain orange.
Top tips
- Keep spray bottles in the staff room, well away from the cooking line.
- Aprons and tea towels with heavy fat: treat with Pro Formula and wash them separately.
- Check the stain has gone before tumble drying or ironing.
