Dirt & Mud Stain Remover for Clothes

Ground-in dirt is two stains in one: the mineral particulate (clay, soil, sand) and the organic binder (sweat, body oil, plant matter) that glues it to the fibre. Lift the binder and the particulate rinses out. Luniva's active enzyme + surfactant blend dissolves the organic layer in 1–3 minutes, so even baked-in football and uniform mud washes clean at 40°C.

Why ground-in dirt resists normal washing

Soil particles wedge between fabric fibres and are held there by an organic film of sweat, sebum and plant exudates. Detergent on its own slides over the film. Active Enzymes break the film apart at the molecular level, releasing the particulate so the wash water can carry it away.

How to use Luniva on ground-in dirt & mud

  1. Step 1 — Spray directly: Apply Luniva to the stain until saturated. No rubbing, no pre-soak.
  2. Step 2 — Wait 1–3 minutes: Active Enzymes break the stain down at the molecular level. Don't let it dry.
  3. Step 3 — Wash at 40°C: Machine-wash as normal. Air dry; never tumble dry until you've confirmed the stain is gone.

Compliance note: Based on controlled laboratory testing. Performance may vary by stain age, fabric type and wash conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Will Luniva remove dried-on mud from football kits?

Yes. Let the mud dry, brush off the loose layer, then spray Luniva. Wait 3 minutes, wash at 40°C. Repeat for set-in clay.

Does it work on school-uniform grey-around-the-collar grime?

Yes — that grey is sebum + airborne dirt. Luniva's lipase active enzyme breaks the binder so the dust rinses out.

Is it safe on bright kit colours and printed numbers?

Yes. Bleach-free, colour-safe, fibre-safe on cotton, polyester and most performance blends. Spot-test heat-pressed prints on a hidden area first.

Will it remove ground-in clay from rugby boots and trousers?

Yes — let the clay dry, brush, then spray Luniva and leave 5 minutes before a 40°C wash. Air-dry to inspect before tumble-drying.

What about workwear with engine oil + dirt?

Treat in two passes — first to lift the oil, second to release the particulate. Use Luniva on both, wait 3 minutes each time, wash at 40°C.
